Simply A-Fucking-Mazing

At the risk of sounding like a blowhard, I can honestly say this was the flash game I've been waiting for ever since I began playing flash games.

-The concept is both practical and unique. I've never imagined of a duck-n-cover engine so flawlessly original. And It worked 100%.
-The nonstop shooting coupled with split-second strategy made this game truly addicting and the relentless waves of enemies gave this game a challenging edge which not that many games can accomplish.
-The art and animation were tailored perfectly for the arcade-feel of this game, and I can say with confidence there's really little you can do to improve them.
-The control scheme was genius, because it forced you to multi-task by utilizing the keyboard to dodge waves of bullets while frantically clicking/aiming on moving targets.

All I can say is this may very well be the ultimate flash shooter. Ever.
Brilliant.

Best in the genre...

I'm usually pretty skeptical when it comes to "dress-up" games, especially ones involving robots/mechs.

But I can honestly say you did it RIGHT. Everything from the easily accessible interface to the perfectly drawn battle mechs make this one of the (if not *the*) best "dress-up" games on the net.

One thing that stood out to me is how you combined mech styles from many different series, yet you added your own artistic spin so they all interconnect perfectly.

Well done!

P.S. Only complaint was that it was somewhat difficult cycling through the parts, especially when they were overlapping each other. no biggie, though.

This shouldn't even be on NG...

Tom, why did this get front page? In a sad attempt to propagate some activist agenda, you masked a statement in the form of a game. What's even sadder is that fact that this got front page, especially considering it lacked depth, length, or any redeeming value.

I'm not saying censor political activism on NG. I'm just saying that if you're going to have a game with political foundations, at least make it ENTERTAINING. Jesus Christ.
This brought nothing new or innovative to NG, and it would be a blatant lie to call this an artistic achievement.

2/5 - Poor AI, short gameplay, and a political message nobody gives a shit about.
4/10 - at least the graphics were somewhat polished.

A little short of awesome...

Despite the fact you totally ripped off DanPalidan's (sp?) art style, this game was pretty original! I like the graphics/animations, very likable and easy to look at.

As far as the pros go, I liked killing the foot soldiers, the simplistic controls, and the bosses were really well done and coordinated (for the most part).

Unfortunately, it was somewhat unclear as how to defeat some of the bosses, especially the 1st one.

This game needs a sequel, but there are some things you should improve:
-Possibly make the boss battles a little more intuitive, yet challenging. It was hard to figure out what you were supposed to do, and once you did figure it out, it became too easy.
-Also, the game lacked sufficient effects -- explosions etc.

Good game, could be improved, but as it is, it works and it's fun.

Terrible.

Monotonous, repetitious, terrible quality, and downright boring.
If you're going to add on to the thousands of pre-existing StarWars games, then you'd better be damn sure it has some original content to separate it from the other endless clones out the there. Unfortunately, this game has no redeeming value whatsoever.

Other than the load screen which feature clips from the movie, the presentation was boring, the in game graphics were overly simplistic, and the gameplay required no skill and got old very quickly.

Here's some tips for future work:
-NO starwars: It's been worked to death. Just no. Unless it's good.
-Real gameplay: Clicking on poorly drawn enemies as they wiz by the screen doesn't constitute as gameplay, considering the "point-and-click" aspect of this game is glitchy. Wow.
-Graphics: If you're going to have mediocre gameplay, the least you could have done is compensate for it with great graphics/presentation.

Better luck next time, buddy.

Wow.

Okay, so my initial thought after beginning this game was, "I WANT THIS GAME ENGINE!" On the surface, this seems like a simplistic platformer, when in reality, I have no fucking idea what kind of brilliant mind could have programmed this. The physics, the seamless transitions from one action to another, and the massive level scale is simply amazing. And what's even more amazing is that it runs 98% smoothly in all areas, no matter how immense.

Let's not even start on the art. QUALITY. You should be getting paid for this, my friend.

Excellent feat in artistic creativity and genius.

Great pace, poor presentation

Good game. I loved the frantic pace, the basic premise, and the simplicity.
You nailed the voice acting and the variety of enemies was appreciated. :)
Unfortunately, it fell short in a few areas:
-More power-ups: I only played this game for roughly 7 minutes, so forgive me if I am mistaken about the lack of power-ups. Anyway, if I am correct in my assumption, power-ups would definitely step this game up a notch, especially with the multi-player aspect.
-Better art/graphics: Usually, I don't vote too harshly on graphics. I mean, it's the gameplay that counts, right? Well, in this case, you've got the gameplay down, it's just the presentation almost cheapens it a bit. I suggest your sequel has art that matches the quality gameplay..

Anyway, sweet shooter. Hope to see more of your work in da' future!

Nice concept, too repetitious

I was waiting for someone to create a '300-esq' game, so this was a breath of fresh air. The animation and art were simplistic, yet effective, but the terrain was too static and never varied.

Gameplay wise, you scored some major points. I liked the variety of ways the enemies died, the blood effects, and the spear attack. Very cool -- very original. Unfortunately, the enemies (with the exception of the archers and bosses) barely posed any threat what so ever. And although killing people was fun, the deaths got a bit repetitious.

All in all, you're on to something, but you could improve upon this game.

Intense...

This game does something not many zombie games allow you to do -- move freely while trying ESCAPE an endless zombie horde. The dim light, realistic sound effects, and grim art really gave this installment an atmosphere of horror. Not many games can do that.

Plus, the intensity and fast-paced frantic shooting got me pumped.

If you could develop this into an MMO game, it would really take off.

Interesting...kind of

Okay, so I really dug your simplistic, yet effective art style. You obviously knew what you were doing ambiance wise.

Unfortunately, as satisfying as it was to dismember the exact SAME enemies EVERY stage, the combat was a bit static. Not to mention that, although the stealth aspect made you use basic problem solving, there really wasn't a dynamic foundation for sneaking around.

Fun for a while, 7/10
