Boring, repetitive, and unoriginal

This game is just another example of how many flash artists crap out cookie-cutter games just for the sake of making them.

I usually don't give ultra-critical reviews, but this one deserves a verbal flogging.
Firstly, this game's art, style and overall feel was dull and unoriginal. The missile effects and explosions were the only highlight of Red Sky's visuals.
Gameplay wise, it fails for the most part. This game does what hundreds of other flash games do, only worse. The combat was too easy, and the overall level design was overly-simplistic.
As for the sound, it got the job done. It wasn't horrible, but nothing really stood out.
I think the problem with this game is that it brings absolutely nothing new, innovative, or entertaining to NG. In the end, nothing stood out about this game; it lacked originality, personality, and style.

Cool! 5/5

This is one of those "inspirational" flash games. That is, it gave me a ton of ideas for future projects.

Anyway, this is a really good game. It runs a bit too slow, in my opinion, but the overall feel of it was nice.

PROS--
-I love the open environments, and I really got a sense of freedom (which most flash games overlook). Also, the overall game engine seemed to work well, despite laggy elements.
-The dynamic elements incorporated into ZH3 are awesome. I absolutely love the day-night cycles, and I think it was a really great feature to add.
-The idea of vehicles were good. Running over zombies was FUN!

CONS--
-The game felt a bit too slow. This is due to the huge map, and partly to the level design.
-Vehicles were WAAYYY too slow. Turning my car was an all-day affair. The cars were difficult to steer, and they took too long to accelerate.
-Although the shooting enemies were a pretty good idea, they killed you off too quickly.

Great game. Original concepts, and sets the bar high for upcoming flash games. 5/5

turning should not take long at all. use space while driving. breaks help you turn.

Fun + laggy gameplay

Okay, so I wasn't all that impressed with the graphics. They weren't horrible, but they weren't spectacular either.

I found that the menus and every other interactive element of this game wasn't very polished. It was sometimes hard to make out objects.

The visuals aside, this game had some pretty solid gameplay. The replay value is somewhat high, and there isn't much of a learning curve.

The controls were simple and effective. Loved the enemy AI, and the bullets looked fantastic. I also enjoyed the "duck-and-cover" aspect of Endless War. It provides for some fun times!

However, it did seem a bit laggy at times, especially when all the NPCs were shooting. I don't have a slow computer, so I was a bit disappointed that it got choppy.

All in all, this was a fun game with some visual problems. Gameplay wise, it was fun and slightly addicting.
In your next installment, try to fix the choppiness, and possibly up the visuals.

P.S. Who else thinks this would make a great multiplayer flash experience?

You are a Flash God!

**THIS GAME MUST MAKE IT THE CONSOLES!!**
This game is incredible. I can't even conjure up enough words to describe the immensity and complexity of this game! It's so...so...AWESOME!

Graphics wise, you win all the way. The art and texturing is AMAZING. I didn't see any shortcuts here.
Effects wise, you also take the cake. If it weren't for the explosions, dynamic backgrounds/foregrounds, and all the other little details you packed into this game, it definitely wouldn't be so great.

You obviously didn't take ANY shortcuts in making this game. Every little detail is PERFECT! This game is basically flawless visually.

Gameplay wise, it's awesome. It meets all the criteria I've made for being completely awesome:

-Fast pace
-Over-the-top action
-Excessive explosions
-Simple controls
-Awesome, story driven gameplay.
-An epic feel.
-Challenging, yet not impossible.
10/10, 5/5 -- This game KICKS ASS. It's obvious you really put your whole imagination and heart into it, and it really pays off.

Great game - deserves a sequel

First of all, I'd like to point out how much fun this game was. I find myself constantly playing games with great graphics, nice sound effects, but mediocre gameplay. This game, however, has an interesting visual style, decent sound effects, and some AWESOME gameplay!

This game handles well. Despite all the zombie hordes, it didn't seem to bog down my computer(and I don't have a superfast computer). The controls were simple yet effective, and I could just jump into the game without reading endless pages of instructions.

Again, you demonstrated that simplicity can also provide quality. The weapons provided in this game are awesome! The explosives (e.g grenades, barrels) were useful and fun to watch.

I'd also like to point out how well you coded the AI. For zombies, they acted pretty realistically. Good job - I certainly couldn't code that well.

Smooth visuals, addicting gameplay, fun arenas, and awesome weapons. NICE!

Awesome!

This is one of the funnest NG games I've played in the last month! I love how you payed attention to details, especially the randomly generated people.

I also enjoyed the realistic reactions of the people when you shot someone. Awesome.

Great animations, voice acting, art, and overall gameplay. I thought it was a bit easy at times, but there were some challenging missions to make up for the easiness.

5/5
P.S. I often found myself failing missions in order to kill innocent people. It was fun! You should use this same game engine to make a rampage game.

Very cool...

Awesome game. I can't believe it has such a low score. I had a lot of fun with this one.

Positives: The art (background, character etc) was fantastic. It was detailed and it really gave a good feel to the game. The controls were practically perfect. I liked how you could restart a stage everytime you failed without restarting the whole damn game! Plus, the overall game mechanics worked out pretty well.

Negatives: Sometimes the stealth aspect didn't work out. The enemies would frequently detect you even if you were out of plain sight. Other than that, the game was pretty cool.

Suggestions: If you make a Prison Escape 2, I suggest allowing the player to have weapons. I'd like to see some shanking, if you know what I mean...

Good game

thanks... yeah we might think about weapons next time...

Didn't enjoy it...

Well, to be honest, I got very little enjoyment out of this game. The character art/animations was horrible, and the background art was...tolerable.

In my opinion, the game moved way too slowly. The bullets were slow, the movement was slow, the animation was slow -- everything was so damn slow.

Plus, it did nothing new or innovative. There's a million games like this one, and I'm getting sick of it.

Although I apparently didn't like the game, you did do a decent job with the presentation. At least the instructions were easy to follow, and the menus were pretty cool.

Other than that, this is just plain boring.

ChromeShark responds:

I can't argue with what you enjoy and don't, I don't personally feel that game is slow in most areas, some of the areas you mention were running as fast as Flash could handle.

I don't really think there are a million games like this, at least not on Newgrounds. Although it is what I'd call a standard platformer, I feel that this does a few things that most don't.

I'm glad you liked the menus at least.

Hilarious@!

Wow! This was something...

I always enjoyed the Blockhead tunes, but this was 10x better! Loved the concept, and the interface.

Top-notch voice action, perfect sound effects/music, and wonderful art.

Funny as hell!

The-Swain responds:

With my MIDI diddies and Chris Voigt's (Sexual-Lobster) electro-acoustic jams, I was very pleased with the game's musical score.

If you want to listen to the songs in high quality, go to Chris's site at www.greasymoose.com. He's got mp3s of all his work up there. I recommend Seedy House and LSD at Work :) As for the music I wrote, I am going to upload them to my site in the near future.

Fun for a while..

I liked to feel of this game. I really did. However, it got really boring after 6-minutes.

I thought the car was well done, and I liked to handling for the most part. It sometimes felt a bit too sensitive sometimes..

Anyway, good game. Not a lot of replay value, but it was fun while it lasted.

I'm a dedicated underachiever.
